Retford FC Veterans became the first name to be etched on the inaugural Nottinghamshire FA Veterans Cup on Sunday afternoon after beating Stapleford Town Veterans in the final held at Arnold Town FC.
Ollie Chappell gave Retford the lead in the first half before Lee Smith made it 2-0 in the second half to earn the victory.
Man of the match was Andy Shaw who along with his back four had a superb game.
