In light of recent publicity concerning an individual associated with another local junior club, Retford FC would like to reassure all parents, players, and the community that safeguarding is of the utmost importance within our club.
We have this morning had contact from several clubs, parents and other agencies regarding this matter and we can categorically state that this is not associated with Retford Football Club in any way.
We can confirm that every coach, assistant, and committee member at Retford FC has undergone the required DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) checks. Additionally, safeguarding training is mandatory for all individuals in these roles to ensure we maintain the highest standards of child protection and safety across the club.
Retford FC remains committed to creating a safe, supportive environment for all our young players.
