Retford FC have signed 18 year old midfielder Ryan Makings from Gainsborough Trinity.
After six years at Lincoln City Academy the Retford based player joined up with Gainsborough Trinity Under 21’s and more recently was at Notts County where he played in their Under 18’s, Under 21’s and trained with the first team.
He has since returned to Gainsborough who remain his parent club as he looks to progress and gain further experience with the Choughs.
Chris Woodhead said, “I’ve known of Ryan for a while and saw him play against our Under 21’s while he was at Gainsborough. When the opportunity came to bring him to the club I knew it was going to be a good signing and I can’t wait to help him develop like we have with so many of our younger players. I’d like to thank Gainsborough for letting him dual sign for us.”
