Retford FC can confirm the signing of goalkeeper Tom Crosby as he arrives at the SL2 Rail Stadium on dual registration.
Crosby will be well known in the town having previously been a fans favourite at Retford United spending four years at Cannon Park helping the Badgers to both league and cup success but he left the club in December 2023 for pastures new and a player/coach role at Handsworth FC.
Since his move to Handsworth, he has had a short spell at Wakefield AFC and more recently had signed for Goole AFC in the NCEL.
Chris Woodhead said, “I’m pleased to bring Tom to Retford FC. We have spoken for a while about him joining us as a part of the squad as we do need some experienced cover for Kendo in case he gets injured like he did last weekend. We’ve had outfield players in goal at times this season and have used our Under 21’s keeper but at this level we just needed someone with that bit of experience and who knows this level of football so I would like to welcome Tom to the club and hope he can enjoy some success with us while he is here.”
